WORK-STUDY CONTRACT CLAIMS HANDLER POSITION
As a service provider working on behalf of insurers in the construction insurance sector
for more than 40 years, we are offering a work-study Claims Handler position within
our Claims Management Department.
Claim File Opening
- Review the information provided in the claim declaration
- Open the claim file in the information system
- Decide on the appropriate procedure: direct handling, coverage denial, expert appointment, etc.
Technical and Legal Assessment
- Analyze and interpret reports and decisions issued by Experts and propose an orientation to the Manager or Technical Referent
- Update and qualify claim assessments during the handling process
Relations commerciales
- Répond aux appels téléphoniques.
- Tient un rôle de conseil auprès des agents, assurés, maîtres d’ouvrage qui déclarent un sinistre ou contestent une position.
Client Relations
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Act as an advisor to agents, insured parties, and project owners reporting a claim or disputing a position
Deductibles – Recoveries
- Carry out deductible recovery
- Pursue recovery actions (subrogation)
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Master’s degree (Year 1 or 2) in Private Law, with a specialization in Insurance / Law
Or Master’s degree (Year 1 or 2) in Business Law, with an interest in the insurance
sector
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALITIES
- Solid legal foundations
- Strong attention to detail and rigor
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong listening and analytical abilities
- Organizational skills and ability to work autonomously
